Terms of service

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Overview

Welcome to The Mum Edit.

The terms “The Mum Edit”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Mum Edit, the operator of this online store and website.

We provide printable digital routine tools and related information, content, features and services through this website. These are collectively referred to as the “Services”.

Our store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer and sell our digital products.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Digital Delivery Policy and any other policies referred to in these Terms, explain the rights and responsibilities that apply when you visit our website, place an order, download a product or otherwise use our Services.

By accessing or using the Services or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services or purchase our products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot legally be excluded.

1. Eligibility and customer accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to place an order or create a customer account.

Our printable resources may be used by children, but purchases and customer accounts must be managed by a parent, guardian, carer, educator or other responsible adult.

When placing an order or creating an account, you agree to provide information that is accurate, current and complete.

You are responsible for:

  • keeping your account and password secure;
  • providing a correct email address;
  • checking that you can access the email account used for your purchase;
  • preventing unauthorised use of your account; and
  • notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You must not sell, transfer or provide your customer account to another person.

2. Digital products

The Mum Edit sells digital products, including printable PDF routine cards, boards, checklists, guides and related resources.

No physical product will be posted or delivered unless a product listing expressly states otherwise.

Each product listing explains what is included with the purchase. You are responsible for reviewing the product description before ordering.

Product images may include digital mock-ups showing how a printable product could look after printing, cutting, laminating or displaying. Props, frames, accessories, laminators, hook-and-loop dots, magnets and other physical items appearing in mock-ups are not included.

Screen and printed colours can vary depending on the device, monitor, printer, ink and paper used. Minor colour variations do not mean that the digital product is faulty, provided it otherwise matches its description.

We may improve or discontinue products at any time. Changes will not remove any rights relating to a product you have already purchased.

Unless the product description expressly states otherwise, a purchase provides the version of the product available at the time of purchase and does not include an entitlement to every future update, redesign or additional product.

3. Compatibility and printing

Our product listings or accompanying instructions may identify:

  • the supplied file type;
  • available paper sizes;
  • recommended printing settings;
  • whether a colour or ink-friendly version is included; and
  • any software ordinarily required to open the files.

You are responsible for checking the stated file and printing requirements before purchasing.

Printed results may vary between home printers and professional printing services. We do not control individual printer settings, ink levels, colour calibration, paper quality or the services provided by third-party printers.

If a supplied file is corrupted, incomplete, inaccessible despite meeting the stated requirements, or materially different from its description, contact us at hello@themumedit.com.au.

4. Orders and contract formation

When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the selected product on these Terms.

An order is accepted when:

  • payment has been successfully processed; and
  • we issue an order confirmation or make the digital product available for download.

We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including when:

  • payment is declined or reversed;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment use;
  • the product or price was displayed incorrectly because of an obvious technical or administrative error;
  • the order breaches these Terms;
  • we are legally prevented from completing the transaction; or
  • we are unable to supply the purchased product.

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed and you are not responsible for the cancellation, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled product.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it. Because digital products may be delivered automatically after payment, we may be unable to cancel an order after the files or download link have been supplied.

Refunds and remedies are governed by our Refund Policy and the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Prices, payments and taxes

Unless stated otherwise, prices displayed on the Australian version of our store are in Australian dollars.

Any applicable tax will be displayed or included as required by law.

Because our products are digital, no physical shipping fee applies.

Prices, discounts and promotions may change without notice. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.

Promotional offers may be subject to separate conditions, including:

  • starting and closing dates;
  • product exclusions;
  • one-use limits;
  • minimum purchase requirements; and
  • limits on combining discount codes.

You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information and confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal or another payment provider made available at checkout. Payment providers may apply their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment-card number.

6. Digital delivery

After successful payment, the purchased digital files or download links will ordinarily be made available through the order-confirmation page, email or Shopify’s digital-product delivery service.

You are responsible for:

  • supplying the correct email address;
  • checking your inbox, spam and junk folders;
  • using a compatible device and internet connection;
  • downloading the files within any stated access limits; and
  • saving a secure personal copy of the purchased files.

Download links may be limited to a specified number of downloads. They are provided to the purchaser and must not be posted publicly, forwarded to others or shared through social media, messaging groups, online storage folders or file-sharing websites.

If you do not receive your download email within a reasonable period, contact hello@themumedit.com.au and include your order number.

We may resend a download email or reactivate access after verifying the order. We may deactivate a link if we reasonably believe it has been publicly shared, misused or accessed in breach of these Terms.

We do not promise that a download link will remain available indefinitely. Once access has been provided, you should download and securely retain your own copy.

This does not affect your rights if we fail to supply the purchased product within the promised or a reasonable time.

7. Personal-use licence

When you purchase a digital product from The Mum Edit, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use that product in accordance with these Terms.

Unless the product listing expressly provides a different licence, you may:

  • download the purchased files;
  • save a reasonable personal backup copy;
  • print the product for use within your own immediate household or family; and
  • reprint the product for that same household when pages become worn or damaged.

Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the copyright, design or other intellectual property in the product.

Unless we give prior written permission or the product listing expressly provides an appropriate licence, you must not:

  • sell or resell the digital files or printed pages;
  • share the files or download links with friends, relatives, other families or online groups;
  • distribute the product through a school, childcare service, clinic, practice, workplace or community organisation;
  • use one purchase for multiple households, classrooms, clients or families;
  • upload the files to social media, cloud-sharing folders, marketplaces, websites or file-sharing platforms;
  • copy, reproduce or distribute substantial parts of the product;
  • remove or conceal copyright notices, branding or ownership information;
  • modify the product and claim it as your own;
  • extract icons, illustrations, text, templates or design elements for use in another product;
  • create derivative products for sale or distribution;
  • use the product for commercial training, paid client work or resale;
  • give the digital files to another person as a gift without purchasing a separate licence for that person; or
  • use the product or its contents to train, test or develop an artificial-intelligence system or commercial dataset.

A separate purchase is required for each household unless a different licence is expressly provided.

Educators, therapists, childcare providers and other professionals should contact hello@themumedit.com.au before using a product across multiple families, students, clients or locations.

8. Intellectual property

The website and its contents including The Mum Edit branding, product designs, text, illustrations, icons, graphics, layouts, photographs, downloadable files and original resources are owned by or licensed to The Mum Edit and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, adapt, publicly display or commercially exploit our website content or digital products except as expressly permitted by the personal-use licence in these Terms.

“The Mum Edit” name, logo and associated branding must not be used in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership or affiliation without our written permission.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. Parent and caregiver responsibility

Our resources are designed to provide general visual and organisational support for families. They are not designed to be used by a child without appropriate adult judgment and supervision.

The responsible adult must determine:

  • whether a particular resource is appropriate for the child;
  • which cards or prompts are relevant;
  • where and how the resources are displayed;
  • whether any small parts or preparation materials create a safety risk; and
  • whether professional advice or individual support is required.

Cut paper, laminated corners, magnets, fasteners, hook-and-loop dots and other preparation or display materials may create cutting, choking or other hazards. Keep small parts away from young children and prepare and display the resources safely.

10. Health, medical and professional information

The Mum Edit provides general printable routine and organisational resources.

Our products and website content are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, behavioural, occupational-therapy, educational or other professional advice. They are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, behaviour-management plan, medical action plan or substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Cards that refer to medicine, inhalers, hygiene, allergies, food, health or safety are visual routine prompts only. They do not replace:

  • medication instructions;
  • an asthma, allergy or emergency action plan;
  • advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health professional;
  • adult administration or supervision; or
  • emergency services.

Always follow the instructions provided by the relevant qualified professional and the product manufacturer.

If a child has medical, developmental, behavioural, sensory or educational needs, seek individual advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

11. No guaranteed outcomes

Every child and family is different.

We do not guarantee that using our products will:

  • eliminate repeated reminders;
  • change a child’s behaviour;
  • make a child independent;
  • prevent distress or conflict;
  • produce a perfectly calm morning;
  • treat a medical, developmental or psychological condition; or
  • achieve a particular educational, therapeutic or family outcome.

References to calmer, clearer or easier routines describe the intended purpose of the resources and are not a promise of a specific result.

This section does not limit your rights if a product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

12. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and is available through the footer of our website.

Because our products are digital and may be delivered immediately, we do not ordinarily provide refunds for change of mind after access or download.

However, our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a remedy if a product:

  • is faulty or corrupted;
  • cannot be accessed despite meeting the stated requirements;
  • is substantially different from its description;
  • is missing material content; or
  • is not fit for a purpose made known to us before purchase.

Nothing in these Terms or our Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Acceptable use of the website

You may use our website only for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • use the website in a way that breaches a law or another person’s rights;
  • provide false, misleading or fraudulent information;
  • impersonate another person;
  • use another person’s payment method without permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to an account, system or download;
  • introduce malware, viruses or harmful code;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • bypass download limits, access controls or security measures;
  • scrape or systematically extract website or product content;
  • use automated tools to purchase, copy or harvest content without permission;
  • collect personal information about other users;
  • use the Services to send spam or unlawful communications; or
  • infringe our intellectual property or the intellectual property of another person.

We may restrict website or download access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached. We will not use this right to remove or avoid consumer rights arising from a lawful purchase.

14. Reviews, feedback and submissions

If you submit a review, testimonial, suggestion or other feedback, you confirm that:

  • it reflects your genuine experience;
  • it is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • you have disclosed any incentive or compensation;
  • it does not infringe another person’s rights;
  • it does not contain unlawful, defamatory, abusive or misleading content; and
  • it does not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information about a child.

You retain ownership of your original feedback.

You grant The Mum Edit a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce, format, publish and display the feedback for operating and promoting the business.

Where reasonably practicable, you may ask us to stop using feedback that identifies you by contacting hello@themumedit.com.au. This will not require us to retrieve material that has already been lawfully printed or incorporated into completed marketing material.

We may remove or decline to publish feedback that breaches these Terms.

15. Third-party services and links

Our Services may include or link to services operated by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, social-media platforms and external websites.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their websites, availability, security or content.

A link to a third party does not necessarily mean that we endorse that party or accept responsibility for its services.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Relationship with Shopify

The Mum Edit is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our store are made directly with The Mum Edit.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and The Mum Edit, including any injury, damage or loss resulting from purchased products and services.

You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from claims, damages and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with The Mum Edit, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Privacy

Our collection, use, storage and disclosure of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, available through the footer of our website.

Certain information is also processed by Shopify. Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy is available at:

https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users

By using the Services, you acknowledge that information may be processed by Shopify and other service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Website availability and errors

We take reasonable steps to keep product information and the website accurate and available.

Occasionally, the website may contain typographical errors, incorrect prices, outdated information or technical problems.

We may correct an error or update information when identified. If an error materially affects an order that has already been placed, we will contact you and provide an appropriate solution, which may include confirming the corrected information or cancelling and refunding the affected order.

We do not guarantee that the website will operate continuously or without interruption. Access may be affected by maintenance, updates, internet failures, hosting problems, cybersecurity incidents or events outside our reasonable control.

19. Consumer guarantees, warranties and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies:

  • the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law;
  • liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • liability for wilful misconduct;
  • liability for personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot legally be excluded; or
  • any other right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to those rights and to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by:

  • your failure to follow supplied instructions;
  • your use of a product outside its stated purpose;
  • unauthorised modification, copying or distribution of a product;
  • incompatible equipment or software where the relevant requirements were clearly disclosed;
  • third-party printing services or materials;
  • an event outside our reasonable control; or
  • information or services supplied independently by a third party.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

Our products are low-cost printable resources. These Terms do not create a professional advisory, therapeutic, medical or educational relationship between you and The Mum Edit.

20. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the website at any time.

We may suspend or terminate an account, download link or access to the Services where reasonably necessary because:

  • these Terms have been materially breached;
  • a payment is fraudulent, reversed or unauthorised;
  • a digital product or download link has been unlawfully shared;
  • our systems or other users are at risk; or
  • we are required to do so by law.

Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the reason for the action.

Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination, including payment obligations, consumer rights, intellectual-property rights and restrictions on sharing purchased files.

Sections that are intended by their nature to continue after termination will remain effective.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Subject to any applicable consumer rights, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them.

If you live outside New South Wales, this section does not remove any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply to you under the laws of your place of residence.

22. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be read down to the extent necessary or severed where it cannot be read down.

The remaining provisions will continue to operate.

23. No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

A waiver is effective only when clearly given.

24. Entire agreement

These Terms and the policies incorporated into them form the agreement between you and The Mum Edit concerning your use of the Services and purchase of our products.

They do not exclude representations, guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to:

  • our products or Services;
  • our business practices;
  • Shopify or other service providers;
  • security requirements; or
  • applicable laws.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date. They will not retrospectively remove rights that arose from an order placed before the change.

If a material change affects an existing customer account or continuing service, we will provide notice where required by law.
