Refund policy
The Mum Edit sells digital products only. No physical products will be shipped, and there is nothing to return by post.
Change-of-mind purchases
Because our digital products are made available for download shortly after payment, we generally do not provide refunds or exchanges if you:
- change your mind;
- decide you no longer need the product;
- purchase the wrong product;
- make an accidental purchase;
- do not use the product;
- do not have the software, device or printer required to open, view or print the files, where those requirements were clearly stated before purchase; or
- expected to receive a physical product when the product listing clearly stated that the product was a digital download.
This does not exclude any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot legally be excluded.
If you believe you have made an accidental or duplicate purchase, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@themumedit.com.au. If the files have not been accessed or downloaded, we may consider a refund at our discretion. This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
Problems with your digital product
Please contact us if:
- you receive the wrong product;
- a file is missing, incomplete or corrupted;
- the download link does not work;
- the files cannot be opened despite following the supplied instructions and meeting the stated technical requirements;
- the product is significantly different from its description; or
- there is another fault with the digital product.
Email hello@themumedit.com.au and include:
- your full name;
- the email address used when placing the order;
- your order number;
- a description of the problem; and
- screenshots or other information that may help us understand and resolve the issue.
We may first assist with troubleshooting, resend the download link, provide a corrected file or provide a replacement copy. The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the problem and your rights under applicable consumer law.
Australian Consumer Law
Our digital products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a digital product has a major problem, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement. A major problem may include circumstances where the product:
- is substantially different from its description;
- would not have been purchased by a reasonable consumer if they had known about the problem;
- is unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time; or
- is unfit for a particular purpose that you told us about before purchasing and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
If the problem is minor, we may choose to provide a remedy within a reasonable time, such as supplying a corrected file, replacement file or working download link.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot legally be excluded.
Product expectations
The Mum Edit products are printable routine and organisational resources. Individual results will vary, and we do not guarantee a particular behavioural, developmental, educational or family outcome.
A preference regarding design, colour, layout or printing result is not ordinarily considered a product fault when the digital product matches its description and the supplied files are working correctly. Printed colours may vary slightly depending on the screen, printer, ink and paper used.
This section does not limit your rights if the product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
Sale items
Purchasing a product at a discounted or promotional price does not affect any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
We are not required to provide a refund solely because a product was reduced in price after your purchase or because you changed your mind about a sale purchase.
Refund processing
If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for your bank or payment provider to process the refund after it has been issued.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we confirmed that your refund was approved, please contact us at hello@themumedit.com.au.
Customers outside Australia
Customers outside Australia may have additional rights under the consumer laws of their country or region. Nothing in this policy excludes any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
